Let’s Talk About Race: A Family Guide to Raising Kids With Positive Racial & Ethnic Identities

Description

MRM was commissioned by Waterbury Bridge to Success in 2019 to produce Let’s Talk About Race: A Family Guide to Raising Kids With Positive Racial & Ethnic Identities. In this book, care givers are provided strategies and resources to better equip them with addressing racism and discrimination with their Black or Brown children.

A topic not usually discussed in public, BTS acknowledges the need to create space in Waterbury for families of color to have an open dialogue amongst themselves about what it means to raise kids of color in a society that often doesn’t see their humanity.  For this reason, BTS partnered with My Reflection Matters, LLC to offer a learning series for families seeking racial healing and a more in depth look at the topics explored in this book.
